freeskateparks is a skatepark discovery platform for finding skateparks across the United States. I designed and built the experience across UX, interaction design, front-end development, mapping, data, and content architecture.
The platform brings search, interactive maps, photos, park information, and user contributions together in one place—making it easier to find somewhere to skate and share it with others.
Find
Search for a skatepark by name, city, or state and quickly discover places worth exploring.
Explore
Use an interactive map to discover skateparks based on where you are and how far you're willing to travel.
Experience
Get the information needed to decide where to skate, including photos, location details, directions, and park information.
Share
Add new skateparks and help keep the directory useful for the next person looking for somewhere to skate.
